Challenge

AFRA (Air Freight Rates Application) is an industry-leading software platform used by freight forwarders, airlines and shippers in the daily transportation of air cargo worldwide. When the next generation AFRA product was ready to be launched, there was a complex migration issue: all users needed to run the same software version. Resistance was also expected due to the users’ competency and loyalty with the existing product.

Solution

The migration needed to be carefully managed. We developed a microsite to generate interest in the new product, and to ensure users felt supported through the change period. Simple and straightforward, the site educated users about the new product in multiple ways, including video tutorials. Additional collateral included AFRA-themed mouse mats and mini-user guides.
 

Result

The transition to the new version of AFRA was completed smoothly. Once existing customers were migrated, the new software was able to be launched to the wider market.
