CHALLENGE
Hilton wanted to raise awareness of its Doubletree by Hilton brand within the Hilton Development target audience – high net-worth individuals, banks, asset management companies and city institutions wanting to invest in the hotel sector.
SOLUTION
A direct mail campaign focused on a shortlist of 100 quality targets – all highly discerning individuals. The piece was attractive, compelling and extremely premium. A three-dimensional mailer was produced with a play on the ‘Doubletree’ name – a beautiful Bonsai tree in a branded package was delivered as a teaser gift to each prospect. Four days later, individuals received a second Bonsai, along with a ‘new leaf’ themed brochure introducing the brand and its conversion proposition.
Result
With a 50% response rate, the campaign achieved its objective of creating a dialogue with individual audience members regarding the conversion of their investment to the Doubletree brand.
