12 Prints

Posted 6 December, 2011

“12 Prints” is a submissions based Christmas art exhibition from Print Club, showcasing up and coming illustrators, artists and graphic designers as well as graduates straight out of University, giving them an opportunity to show off their personal style and point of view.

Having braved the rain in Brick Lane, which this evening looks like something out of Blade Runner, we are faced with a large crowd all eager to see and be seen at this private view event.

A group of artists are painting a semi naked man on the ground floor of the exhibition room so we go down to the basement where the 12 Prints are being displayed. Artists include Pure Evil, Emily Forgot, Thomas Whitcombe and Yeji Yun, all displaying very unique styles but brought together in this contemporary show.

All prints are signed, embossed and are limited editions so you can own a piece of original artwork; there is something very appealing about something handmade and limited in this copy paste digital age.

We have even got a few choice pieces for the Campaign Works meeting room, bringing a bit of East London style to Welwyn Garden City.
